Are Blogs Still Relevant in the Age of AI (2025)?

Blogs still RelevantAbsolutely! The proof is right here — you’re reading this blog.
That means people like you still enjoy blogs, and for that, thank you. Soon, there will be more people reading yourblogging too.
Even in a world of Artificial Intelligence — where you can give an AI a title and it will generate pages that sound like you wrote them — blogging still matters. Why? Because the feeling of writing your own words, your own story, can’t be replaced. Blogs are evergreen, searchable, and uniquely yours.

My Path to Blogging
My journey here wasn’t the shortest or straightest, but it’s mine. At first, I thought social media was the best place to share ideas — quick reach, fast attention. But honestly, if you asked me to make a short video or reel on this topic, I couldn’t show my true self. Writing gives me that freedom.
So I picked a platform. I chose WordPress, but there are others like Medium. The key is: pick a topic you enjoy and just start writing. Don’t overthink perfection. (And if you’re unsure about setup — there are plenty of YouTube tutorials. It won’t take more than an hour.)

Free vs Paid Plans
WordPress offers both. I recommend starting with the free plan (you’ll get a yourblog.wordpress.com address). Later, you can upgrade to a custom domain and professional features. For now, just focus on writing.

Will Anyone See My Blog?
Yes! Even on the free plan, search engines can find your blog. Using clear, simple language and relevant keywords helps readers discover it.
You might hear the term SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Don’t stress. For now, just focus on writing naturally and consistently. Over time, search engines will pick up your posts.
👉 Example: If someone searches “Are blogs still relevant in 2025?”, and you’ve used that phrase naturally in your post, your blog has a chance to appear in search results.

Growing Your Audience
You can promote your blog through social media, communities, or rely on organic search. Building readers takes time, but it compounds like an asset.
And now, you might be asking: ‘If I’m going to promote it on social media, why not just create content for social media directly?’ Sure, if that makes you happy and fulfilled, go for it! But here’s my take: longevity. A blog post can keep attracting readers for years, unlike short-lived posts that disappear in the feed. (And by the way — thanks for reading this far!)”

Monetization (For Later)
Once you’ve built some traction, there are ways to monetize: ads (like Google AdSense), affiliate links, sponsored posts, memberships, or selling products/services.
But don’t worry about that now. Focus on content first. (And when I reach that stage myself, I’ll update this blog!)

Tracking Your Progress
After you publish your first post, WordPress gives you basic stats. You can also connect Google Analytics (free) for deeper insights, like visitor locations, devices, and time spent on your blog.

A Quick Tip on Domains
If you already have a name in mind, don’t hesitate — grab the domain. It costs about the same as tomorrow’s lunch. I bought mine from Porkbun (I don’t have an affiliate link — just Google it and register your domain if you like the name)
👉 Why it matters: a custom domain makes your blog look more professional, easier to remember, and helps you build your personal brand.

Final Thoughts
Start small. Start today. Enjoy the process and let it grow naturally. Blogging is personally fulfilling — and who knows, maybe one day profitable too.
